Many organizations have DEI Committees staffed by people who care deeply about Equity and want to make a difference. This workshop will help Committee members (including future or potential Committee members) focus their efforts, understand their impact, and collaborate with potential partners. This space will provide assessment, decision making and change management tools Committee members can use to increase their impact and enhance their ability to make change.

Alanna Hein has a long-established training, consulting, and leadership coaching practice. Alanna’s lived and professional experience includes 20+ years working with state, county, city non-profit and corporate entities to support and lead organizational transformation and community initiatives with a focus on equity and inclusion, antiracism, creating high performing teams, planning for and managing change, building resilience, and conflict resolution. Alanna’s consulting work focuses on using change management tools and approaches to bring about workplace and system wide equity. Consulting clients have included: City, County and Federal government agencies, private non-profit organizations, and corporations of all sizes. Alanna helps organizations develop leadership, make strategic plans, and engage staff. Alanna taught graduate and undergraduate courses in the business and management department for many years at Marylhurst University, and has served as a CEO, Director of Human Resources, Executive Director, and Auditor. Alanna’s training, consulting, and coaching are recognized as exceptionally effective, and the jokes are almost always funny.
